Halloween 2011

Here is Eli the Elephant with all his awesome friends at Trunk-or Treat.

Jed was so sad to miss this, he was working. So it was just me and the kiddos.

Lots of goodies! There is the candy, of course, and they provide donuts and hot cider. Yummy dinner!

On Halloween day we went to visit Jed at work. He and a lot of his co-workers had dressed up, so we did too!

We did not have a lot of time so we ate our lunch all crammed into the backseat.

Having a superhero for a dad is amazing!

Jane sure is adorable! I should have done the red circles on her cheeks, but I was a little worried about where it would eventually end up.

Her is Eli and his best bud Michael out collecting loot. Eli was hilarious, each time someone opened the door, he would walk right in their house!

The hand holding was a constant requirement by Eli. Poor Michael was having a hard enough time maneuvering in that box with out Eli dragging him everywhere!

Emily did an amazing job with her little robot! After taking this picture, Eli was telling on Michael. He said, "I don't think Michael said cheese", in very concerned tones.
Happy Halloween!

No Janie!!

Jane is following in her brothers footsteps and loves the dishwasher. It is getting pretty tricky to do the dishes when Jane is awake because she pulls everything out before I can get enough in to make progress. P.S. Eli took these pictures. Pretty impressive.

So, the other day I left the room for a few minutes, and as custom would have it, I hear Eli yelling and Jane screaming. As I'm walking towards them I am trying to figure out what Eli is saying. It sounded like "Janie! That's what I want!" or somethng, but it was not clicking immediately. Finally I figured it out. "Janie Lamont! No, Janie Lamont!" He was using HIS middle name to let her know he was serious! Classic moment. I love these kids!

Eli is THREE!!

It is so fun having Eli in our family. He is such a sweet and loving boy. He gives the best hugs and loves to cuddle. He is so smart, he loves to do puzzles, dance, play soccer and go to the park. He loves Janie so much that it is hard to keep his hands off of her! He always wants to be close to her.

Eli's birthday was honestly one of the best days I've ever shared with anyone! Eli woke up and saw the streamers and balloons and he knew it was a special day all about him. He is still too small to be a brat about it, he was just filled with pure joy! He ran right over to his presents and grabbed the birthday hat I had placed on top of the gifts, put it on his head and started singing "Happy Birthday to ME!" After singing and dancing for a while he wanted to open presents. We just took our time and played with each toy or game as he saw it. He loved everything!

All Eli wanted for his birthday was to see a giraffe and an elephant, so it was off to the zoo! We saw only what Eli wanted to see when Eli wanted to see it. We stopped to eat when he wanted and played when he wanted. He was so nice, saying "thank you" for everything and was completely happy.

There are bronze baboons outside the entrance of the zoo. Eli made sure he "scratched" all of their noses for them (just looks like he's picking all of their noses).

Riding the baboon looking very handsome.

Stopping outside the gorilla exhibit for a snack. He loves watching the gorillas.

Here's the birthday boy singing to himself and getting ready to open presents!

We are not big cake people around these parts, so we had cinnamon rolls instead. We sang Happy Birthday four times per Eli's request just so he could keep blowing out the candles.

A Dr. set! Could life be any better?

Showing Jane his new spelling game. "Don't bite it pieces, no."

The Friday after Eli's birthday is the day Jed had off, so we decided to have a little friends party. Again, Eli was in heaven!

Can you believe us? Eli is huge and we are now a family of four!

Balloons + bubbles + dancing = happy kids.

Eli has some great little pals!

I love the shy look on Eli's face as everyone sang to him! He did not take his hand away the whole time, but you you can tell he LOVES the attention. Eli is still not very proficient at blowing out the candles. It took him several tries, but he just played it up and was spitting and sputtering making it a big joke and had everyone laughing! He is such a ham!
Also note, Eli decorated all the cupcakes for his party!
LOVE THIS BOY!!!

What is going on with us you ask?

Austin and Carol came to visit. Sorry Austin is not pictured here, he and Jed were off fly fishing while Carol and I went to the zoo with the kids and some friends.

Here is Eli with his little friend, Michael getting a good look at the bear.

Eli is still a lousy sleeper, but cute. He is currently attached to a top hat, yes, even sleeping with it.

I love/hate Apple. Jed is an apple man which is fun because we have all the toys, but do you see the insanely small size of this remote? Grrrr!! It gets lost so easily! This is for the Apple "TBD" as Eli calls it.

This is what the house looked like after an intensive search for the darn thing!

On a less angry, more spiritual note, I took the kids to see the temple recently. There is such a sweet spirit there, even sitting on the curb eating cheerios.

Eli LOVES the bath! He would take three a day if I would let him. Good thing we don't pay for water in this apartment, we would be broke between the baths and the amount of laundry we have.

The kids are bathing together now, which I love. They have so much fun splashing around together.

Jane is smiling more and more. She is so loud! always growling and yelling when she is happy. She is a goat/vacuum cleaner eating anything she can get her hands on.

Jane is gorgeous!!

Eli is a stud!
And a newly potty trained stud at that!
